Research & Evaluation
Using qualitative and quantitative methods to inform our assessments
G&A designs research and evaluation projects for schools, agencies and foundations. We conduct process, outcome, and impact evaluations using quantitative and qualitative methods. Working with the client through each phase of the initiative G&A develops evaluation goals and objectives, designs and implements data collection tools (needs assessments, focus groups, surveys, and key informant interviews), analyzes qualitative and quantitative data, and produces user-friendly reports. G&A develops multiple forums for stakeholders to provide input and takes a participatory approach to all of our services. Research projects integrate best practice research, as well as qualitative and quantitative data. Services include:
- Process and outcome evaluations
- Organizational assessments
- Funder-mandated evaluations or assessments
- Literature reviews
- Key informant interviews
- Focus group development, recruitment and facilitation
We work closely with each client to generate a practical road map for implementation that reflects best practice research, community needs, and client capacities.
The G&A Approach:
- Participatory: We engage both the client and the consumer of services
- Asset-focused: We identify strengths, before deficits
- Research-based: We incorporate best and promising practices
- Data-informed: We use multiple sources of data throughout our process
