Grant Proposal Development Services

Over the past six years alone, G&A has been responsible for developing almost half a billion dollars ($400 million) in federal, state and private grants. Over a recent twelve month period, G&A submitted over 50 consecutive funded proposals to the State and Federal government. While once G&A was almost exclusively a grant writing firm, we now are involved in evaluation, strategic planning, facilitation, applied research and managing the implementation of new projects, in areas of education, community development and public health. • Electronic Proposal Analyses and Editing schedule a date by which you can deliver a draft to G&A and we will provide a complete analysis within 24 hours. An outside and astute eye will review each page with the funder's priorities firmly in mind. Whenever the funding source's review criteria is available this will be employed, essentially providing you with a pre-submission review from the precise perspective of the reviewers who will rank your proposal. Comments will be provided throughout your draft, including suggested language to clarify your intent. An action plan will be provided suggesting what steps to take to pick up critical points that can make all the difference. Generally a complete edit can be completed for between $250-$600 depending upon the complexity and length of the proposal.

  • Expanded G&A Grant Development Technical Assistance: In addition to editing your proposal (as above), G&A will provide a specific number of hours and a schedule of services uniquely responsive to your circumstances. A series of conference calls can be scheduled or a 'bank' of technical assistance hours can be established through which a G&A Associate steeped in the particular initiative can be on-call to provide assistance. G&A can provide your team an "annotated outline and project development memo." The outline will provide you with a clear structure within which to shape your narrative. The outline will also suggest the kinds of text that should be utilized in each section, how long each section should be, and the kinds of activities, partnerships, and commitments that will address funder priorities. The memo will summarize the key elements that should be included in your proposal and will highlight funder priorities, funding eligibility, assembly and delivery instructions, etc. Essentially, G&A would comb through the RFP and ensure that you didn't miss any critical elements or requirements. G&A can also provide ongoing expert advice to your grant development team in numerous areas: which partnerships to develop and how to present them in the grant; how to handle thorny conflicts among partners; which alternative funding streams to access to maximize the impact of grant funding; how to frame your needs statement and what data might strengthen that statement; how to interpret ambiguous RFP language. Technical Assistance of this sort costs $75 per hour.
