
Elementary Education Consultant
All researchers must have at least five years experience and a masters degree in education; familiarity with state standards and state assessment data and experience providing coaching to teachers and schools.
Reading Specialists should also have classroom experience as K-3 teachers, be knowledgeable about state-adopted curricula, have direct experience teaching or coaching teachers in Open Court Reading and understand how to use student assessment data to improve instruction.
All applicants should have experience working in Title I, urban schools, and demonstrate cultural competencies. Additional skills needed include meeting facilitation; the ability to work independently and as a member of a team; the capacity to work under tight deadlines, and some degree of comfort with ambiguity as projects becomes more defined.
G&A highly values individuals with excellent writing skills, experience analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, and a sense of humor. Bilingual Spanish, a plus, but not required.
