Shirley Huey, JD
Shirley Huey is a strategic consultant and writer/storyteller focused on issues affecting the health of low income and immigrant communities, including mental health, criminal justice/reentry, youth development, and community economic development. With over 15 years of experience advocating for social justice, Shirley brings insight from working at public, private, philanthropic, legal, and grassroots entities. She has consulted with government and nonprofit clients on research, strategic planning, program evaluation, board development, meeting/retreat facilitation, and grant writing projects. Shirley also volunteers with local organizations dedicated to improving cultural competency in mental health services and working to keep artists and artistic venues in the Bay Area.
