Ms. Ohlson possesses ten years experience in education and public health research. She possesses expertise in the areas of cultural and linguistic competence, mental health, public health, and urban education.

Affiliate Specialist

Brightstar Ohlson, principal and founder of Bright Research Group, brings over 10 years of experience conducting research, evaluation, and strategic planning in academic and applied settings. She holds a Masters of Education from the University of New Haven and a Bachelors degree in Anthropology from Yale University. Ms. Ohlson brings her bilingual (Spanish) skills to many projects and specializes in qualitative research methodologies. Her core content areas include youth development, urban education, adolescent health, public safety, and cultural/linguistic access to services.
